Festus Keyamo, who is the main spokesman for the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, is sure that the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, will not break the law because he was a victim of brutality by the military during his fight for democracy. Keyamo said this in an interview with our reporter in Abuja, where he was defending his boss.
The Minister of State for Labour said that Tinubu was the most prepared of the four candidates for the highest office in the land. He said that Tinubu’s 80-page manifesto detailed how he would change the Nigerian justice system.
He said, “In our manifesto, we have his plan for reforms and respecting the rule of law. Tinubu was one of the people hurt the most by the military’s brutality, and his government in Lagos was hurt when it didn’t follow the Supreme Court’s ruling about Local Government funds.
“It has happened to him. I also think he knows where the shoe rubs. Asiwaju fought for democracy more than any of the other “four leading aspirants,” even though there were only three of them.
This is something that the media knows a lot about. It’s not about making a big deal out of it. We also don’t need to prove anything. He is the one person you can trust more than anyone else.”
